I work from a home-based kitchen in Riverhead, North-west Auckland.

Yes! I am proud to say that I am an A Grade Auckland Council registered kitchen.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER?
As soon as you set the date for your event or occasion! Everything is made fresh and by hand. Although I can often help with last minute orders, I am a one-woman operation and do get booked up. It's best to book as early as possible, especially if you want a custom cake.

CHANGES TO YOUR ORDER

I require a MINIMUM of 48hrs notice to make any changes to your cake or date. Large or special dietary cakes may need longer, so please get in touch ASAP to avoid disappointment.

REFUNDS/CANCELLATIONS 
A 50% deposit is required to confirm your order. This is non-refundable. If you cancel within 7 days, there will be no refund as planning and prep for your order will have most likely started. If you cancel prior to this, you will be entitled to a 50% refund as fees have already been deducted for accepting your payment and we may have turned down other orders to secure your space and spent time processing this order. If you or someone gets sick, this is obviously out of your control, and we will happily hold a credit for you and change your order date. 

ORDER ACCEPTANCE
It is the customers responsibility to check the order upon collection and by taking the items you are acknowledging you are happy and have inspected. We pride ourselves on amazing flavours and quality, we check and test ALL cakes and other foods regularly throughout the process, if you feel that you are not happy with your order it will need to be returned and only a small amount eaten (tested) so that we can fully inspect. If you have eaten and not just tested, no refund will be given. 

ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
We reserve the right to artistic expression and cannot replicate a cake exactly, we will endeavour to create something amazing for you and we are sure you will love it!

COLLECTION/DELIVERY INFO 
Collection is from 34 Pohutukawa Parade, Riverhead.
All cakes are securely boxed for minimal movement during transit but I recommend bringing a large box or plastic crate to put the cake in to stop it sliding around in the car, with towels to gently wedge it in - or a friend to hold it!

Pick-up from Riverhead is available Monday to Friday 3-5pm or Saturday 9-11am.

Delivery is available in Auckland by arrangement or through the website. Please contact me to request a quote. My partner and I personally deliver the cakes so slots are limited. Unfortunately at this time I am unable to courier cakes.

FRESH FLOWERS
Flowers are sourced locally and are spray free. They may contain the odd bug or two, although I do my best to remove them all!

STORAGE
The cakes need to be stored out of direct sunlight and in a cool space. Specific instructions for your cake will be given on delivery/collection.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Smoosh Face Cakes operates in a home kitchen where all of the cakes are made and decorated. I take extra special care with all dietary requirements, but there is always a chance of cross contamination so I cannot guarantee that any product does not contain or has not come into contact with traces of allergens.
